The Pilot 2004 .
Based upon the 1993 non-fiction book Howard Hughes: The Secret Life by Charles Higham, the film shows the life of Howard Hughes, an air travel pioneer and director of the film Heck's Angels The film depicts his life from 1927 to 1947 during which time Hughes became a successful film producer and an air travel mogul while simultaneously growing a lot more unpredictable because of extreme obsessive-compulsive problem (OCD).
Ironically, regarding this reviewer is concerned the most mixing, Bookmarks a lot of unforgettable minute in Martin Scorsese and John Logan's The Pilot isn't the (undoubtedly impressive) airborne battle at the beginning of the film, or the airplane collision later on, or any of the social goings-on.
Besides, Hughes is hardly averse in jeopardy his life in various other ways, becoming a record-smashing flying ace and later on getting TWA off the ground a lot to the dismay of rival Juan Trippe (Alec Baldwin), the head of Frying pan Am. Appearing at 169 minutes, The Aviator tries to remain up, but like Howard Hughes' much-too-big and much-too-heavy Spruce Goose (a.k.a. The Hercules), this cinematic big can maintain itself in the air only a few minutes each time.
