What You Should Be Focusing On Enhancing Item Upgrading
Path of Exile Item Upgrading
The best way to improve your gear in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This lets you enhance your gear without having to rely on expensive drops or trades. This article will teach you how to upgrade your gear effectively.
Upgrades to equipment provide an additional bonus to the item upgrader mod's stats. This bonus is based on the upgrade component level and rarity.
Components
Upgrade components make your armour and weapons stronger. You can get them from destroying enemies, finding them in spheres of items or buying them from karma dealers. They can also be salvaged from equipment that contains them, or through an advanced salvage kit like the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components aren't destroyed when they are removed from an item.
The primary function of upgrade components is to allow an item to be upgraded however, they also serve other purposes. They can be used to increase the level of an item that can be upgraded or they can be used to boost the experience gained when upgrading an existing weapon or piece of equipment. They can be made for additional benefits. A crafted glyph can increase the chances of upgrading its target while an upgrade boosts the attack or defense capabilities of weapons.
Selecting an upgrade template in the GUI will allow you to bind it to an item upgrader mod. This will display an upgrade component list that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench for selecting an upgrade template. In either case, the item will be upgraded when enough upgrade components are gathered.
Each component has a different experience multiplier, which determines the amount of experience an item gets when it is upgraded with the component. Organic components, for example have more experience multipliers than mechanical components. It is recommended to upgrade the organic components first, until you reach the next level in the weapon or equipment and then switch to the mechanical upgrades.
Each item comes with an upgrade maximum number that it is possible to receive. The number of items that can be upgraded is determined by their upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade they can receive. The highest level of upgrade is a weapon with tier 10. However, the most popular weapon upgrades are a tier 6 weapon and a tier 5 armor upgrade.
Sets
A set is a collection of objects which all have the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at the minimum once. The upgrade will increase the amount of bonuses you can expect to receive. When you first upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. In subsequent upgrades the primary stats will be increased a bit more (for example, +1 to 12+/13+/14+) Each time you upgrade the item with an additional stats will be increased randomly.
Upgrades to a weapon may increase the damage base, which can be necessary for certain builds. However, weapons cannot be upgraded to a higher maximum defense roll than their normal base. It's possible to increase the value of certain sets and unique items by upgrading them, but they're not always superior to a higher-level Runeword.
If you're upgrading an item that comes with a bonus it can be rerolled a single time, and its guarantee will reset back to 0. Rerolling costs the same amount of power dice as the process of leveling an item, however the new item will have additional bonuses. The NPC [Armor] Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item you will need the appropriate amount Minerals and Erons, as well as a power dice of each kind. These can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also provide an additional reward for every tier that is completed of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled one time with the same materials as original item.
Rerolling
If players have enough to reroll tokens, they are able to play rerolling any item they have acquired during the game. When an upgraded item upgrader is rerolled, it will be exchanged for the version that is level 1 of the same item in another set. Reroll tokens are sold at the store for a small sum of in-game currency. They cannot be refunded. The new item will offer the same bonus features as the original, but the stats will differ.
Players can alter the identification of their equipment as well as rolling it again by interacting with an NPC upgrader. This will change the identification from a weapons to armor, or vice versa. The base requirements and stats remain the same. The change will be permanent and will affect all characters who have the gear.
Players can also increase the level of an item equipped equipment by acquiring upgrade items and conversing with the upgrader NPC of the item. This will cost a set amount of crests as well as Valorstones depending on the upgrade track and kind. Each step will add an additional 5% of damage to weapons.
Upgrades can boost the effectiveness of an item, however they also decrease its quality. Therefore, it is important to balance the two. Certain items aren't worth upgrading, while other items require upgrading to make them more effective. One player may wish to upgrade their breakpoint armor using an interesting modification ( percent block chance or FHR) in order to see what else it can become.
The primary reason people play rerolls in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is that they're trying to get a specific character or weapon that they can't otherwise obtain. Getting these items can be costly and time-consuming and the RNG gods don't always want to play. The only other options are to spend real money or grind for a long time. Rerolling is a very popular option in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can select whether to upgrade the weapon or armor after upgrading an item. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. I think it was meant to to give some value to rare items, but because the majority of gear drops quickly and can only be upgraded one level up and you'll typically replace the item before it becomes old enough. It is also not worth upgrading items with gem sockets because the power of the stone will outweigh any increment in ilvl.
You will see a small window when you click the upgrade option on an item. It will display the template of the item upgrades, the crest, and the cost for Valorstone to raise the item level. Weapons and armor will have different prices, with the latter usually being more expensive. The upgrade template lists the stats that will be added to the upgraded item and will also list its current base ilvl.
The crest and Valorstone costs are calculated by analyzing the item's current ilvl as well as the upgrade template. The ilvl will also be reduced by the upgrade templates lvl reduction percentage. For instance an upgrade of 8% will reduce the weapon's ilvl by 8 to 88%.
The item will be upgraded to other stats, such as critical strike damage, PvE damages and block, parry, and dodge rating in addition to the base ilvl. The increases are also built on the upgrade template.
The amount of defense and damage the item is able to receive when leveled up can be shown below the cost and upgrade decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. Apart from the equipment for practice, all weapons and armor gain the same stats once upgraded. The value of these stats will be dictated by the market, with a perfectly rolled version of a weapon or piece of armor can command significantly more trade value than non-upp'd versions. The same applies to other armor pieces, such as circlets and tiaras.
