Why People Are Talking About Item Upgrade This Moment
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can sometimes increase the power of a piece and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrades is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are applied.
For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorb function in PvP or to provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more exchangeable over the unupgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you roll a purchased item such as a weapon, armor or ring. The item is replaced with an identical item however with different benefits. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective method of upgrading gear. They don't maintain the original item upgrader mod's level and any money wasted aren't rewarded.
Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors through several means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in crates and chests, or buy them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of an item for example, increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can reroll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage caused by melee and weapons, while spell power boosts rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player an additional level of health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available: upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each of these upgrades an item to a higher quality and requires a higher-level reroll token in order to create it. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, while rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
The reroll marker, unlike other special tokens or markers placed on action spaces, stays on the spot until the next Success is rerolled. This lets you avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they show an explanation and icon for the appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's shop can swap blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.
This means that blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a game. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop offers to reroll, and those that are in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones which increase the value of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. They can also be purchased by players who have completed daily contracts.
To upgrade gear players first need to find the item they want to upgrade and then click on the "level up" button. The screen will show a summary of the item's current level and what it will be after being upgraded. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.
After deciding on what to upgrade, players need to select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the appropriate cost. When the requirements have been met, the player can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level by a certain percentage. Based on the rarity of the item, the upgrade process can take between seconds and minutes.
The upgrade process is safe and doesn't impact the durability of the item. This is an excellent option for players who want to gain an advantage in battle but don't want to burden their wallets. Additionally players can transfer experience and progress of an upgraded item to a new gear by clicking on the "transfer" tab.
The process of acquiring Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be daunting for players who are new to the game. There are a variety of ways to acquire them. You can finish contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, collect them from Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that lets players boost the base stats of weapons armor, helms and trinkets. It is achieved by the combination of an item upgrader kit with upgrades at the Upgrade Station and paying a cost of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will use up the upgrade components and grant the item an increased level, which gives the item a boost in that particular area. The process will continue until the item reaches its highest level.
Items that have upgraded base stats display an icon of blue in their slot. In contrast to enchantments, upgrade components don't stack with each other, but can only be added to a single item at one time. Furthermore, each upgrade component will require a certain number of items to be used in addition to a minimum level for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station comes with two slots: the left one is where players can place equipment that needs to be upgraded, while the right shows a preview of what the gear will appear like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when a player has sufficient materials will start the upgrading process.
A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its base stats will be increased by a small amount. The maximum level for an item is 19.
When an item is at its maximum capacity, it will no longer have the option of upgrading. Also, when an item is on a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades to that track will come with discounted prices.
Upgrade components are a type of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and other trinkets to provide an additional effect or benefit while the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted, acquired by completing quests or traded between players. Upgrade components can be swapped with new ones. However, this could ruin the previous upgrade.
Requirements
The upgrades to items allow players the ability to boost certain stats of weapons and armor that they currently own. The requirements to upgrade an item upgrades differ depending on the type of item upgrades however, you'll usually require Dilithium along with the number of Upgrade tokens.
The upgrade items can be slotted into equipment set pieces or weapons to provide extra effects or a higher quality item. These upgrades can be gotten from various sources in the game, including crafting, purchased at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses and raids, or collected from dungeons. Once an upgrade item component has been inserted into an item, it isn't able to be removed or changed without restriction, however, the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restrictions.
Upgrading an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Certain upgrade components have additional modifiers that can boost the stats of the item.
For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and gives an additional 20% chance to block. The dps "Wildfire", however, increases weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial for some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players if they can get an exact roll. For example, a perfect-rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.
When you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will display an open window that displays the required requirements. The game will show the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
Once you've satisfied the requirements for an upgrade The game will then place the item in your inventory and the progress bar will update to show how close to completing the upgrade. You can also check the status of an upgrade by going to any upgrader NPC for the item you want to upgrade.
