Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The best method to improve your equipment in Path of Exile is through upgrading your items. This lets you improve it without having to depend on costly trades or drops. This article will teach you how to upgrade your items.

Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus scales with the upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components are the parts that make your weapons and armor more effective. You can get them from fighting off enemies, locating them in spheres of items or buying them from karma dealers. They can also be salvaged from equipment that contains them or by using the highest-quality salvage kits such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components are not destroyed by removing them from the item.

Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item, but they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked to boost the value of an item that can be upgraded or they can be used to enhance the experience gained by upgrading an existing weapon or piece of gear. They can also be made to offer additional benefits. For instance, a designed glyph will increase the chance of upgrading its target, whereas a boost upgrade will increase the attack or defense property of a weapon, or armor.

You can attach an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will show the upgrade components that the item upgrader can be updated. You can also use the workbench to selecting an upgrade template. In either instance, the item will be upgraded when enough upgrade components are gathered.

Each component has a unique experience multiplier. This determines how much experience an item can gain when upgraded using that component. Organic components, for instance, have more experience multipliers than mechanical components. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade with organic components until you reach the experience multiplier of the next rank of weapon or gear, and then change to mechanical upgrades.

Each item comes with an upgrade maximum number that is available for. The number of upgrades are determined by the upgradeable rank and the upgrade type of the upgradeable item. For instance, the most expensive possible upgrade for a weapon is a weapon with tier 10. The most common weapon upgrade is a tier 6 gun and an armor upgrade for tier 5.

Sets

A set is a collection of items which share bonuses. Each item can be upgraded at the minimum once. The upgrade will increase the guaranteed bonuses. The first time you upgrade a set piece or weapon is that it will be given an increase of +1 to its primary stat. In subsequent upgrades the primary stats will be boosted a little more (for example, +1 to 12+/13+/14+), and each time you upgrade the item with an additional stats is boosted randomly.

Upgrading a weapon can also increase its damage base, which could be necessary for certain builds. Weapons aren't upgraded to give an increased maximum defence roll than their base. It is possible to increase value of certain sets and unique items by upgrading them, however they're not always better than a Runeword with a high level.

If you are upgrading an item that comes with bonuses it can be rerolled once and the guarantee will reset to zero. Rerolling is the same amount of power dice as leveling an item, however the new item will have different extra bonuses. Upgrading can be done through the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item you will require the proper amount of Minerals and Erons as well as a power dice of each kind. They can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also offer an extra reward for each completed tier of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled one time, using the same materials as the original item.

Rerolling

If a player has enough tokens for rerolling, they can roll any item they have acquired during the game. If an item is rerolled, it will be replaced with a level 1 version in another set. Reroll tokens are sold in the store for a small amount of in-game currency. They are non-refundable. The upgraded item will have the same bonuses of the first however its stats will differ too.

Players can change the identity of equipment in addition to rerolling it by interacting with an upgrader NPC. The equipment's identification will change as a weapon to armor, or reverse the process. Its base stats and requirements will remain the same. The change will be permanent and affect all characters who have the gear.

The player can also upgrade their level of the item upgrader mod for any equipped equipment. This is accomplished by engaging with an upgrader NPC, and then obtaining upgrade components. This will cost a set number of crests and Valorstones depending on the upgrade track and type. Each step will give 5% more damage to weapons.

The upgrade of an item will make it more powerful however, it can also decrease its quality. It is therefore essential to find a balance between the two. Some items may not be worth upgrading, while others will need to be upgraded to reach their potential. One player may wish to upgrade the breakpoint armor by adding an interesting modification ( percent block chance, or FHR) to discover what it could become.

Rerolling is a common practice in Genshin Impact and other gacha-based games. People use it in order to get a character or weapon that they wouldn't otherwise have. These items are time-consuming and costly to acquire, and the RNG does not always work in a positive way. The only options are to invest real money or grind lots. Rerolling is extremely popular in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when you upgrade an item. However, this feature does absolutely nothing in the current game. I believe this feature was created to give value to expensive and rare items. However, as most equipment is replaced quickly, and can only be upgraded by to a certain level, you will usually replace it before it gets too old. It's also not worthwhile to upgrade items with gem sockets as the power of the gem will be greater than the increased ilvl that comes with the upgrade.

You will see a small window when you click the Upgrade Item option on an item. It will display the template of the item, the crest, and the cost of Valorstone to increase the item's level. The cost of upgrades will vary based on armor and weapons and the latter typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template shows the stats that will be added to the upgraded item. It also lists its current base ilvl.

The cost of the Valorstone and the crest is calculated based on the current Ilvl of the item and the upgrade templates. In addition, the ilvl of the new upgraded item will be reduced by the template's lvl decrease percentage. For example, a weapon with an 8% upgrade decrease will reduce its value by 8-8 percent.

The item will be upgraded to other stats, such as critical strike damage, PvE damages, and block, parry and dodge rating, in addition to the base ilvl. Those increases are also built on the upgrade template.

In the upgrade template you can determine the amount of damage or defense the item will receive after it is leveled up. This is shown below the cost and the upgrade percentages. All weapons and armor, except practice equipment, get these stats once they've been leveled up. The value of these additional stats will be determined by the market, with a perfectly rolled perfect version of a piece of armor or weapon able to command much more trade value than non-upp'd versions. The same is true for other armor pieces such as circlets or tiaras.
