Upgrades to gear increase its base stats, and sometimes boosts its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are applied.

Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.
After deciding on what to upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to utilize and pay the appropriate cost.
